And be careful of two additional sources:
- The New York Times, which has published multiple articles in the last several years that are extremely critical of trans communities, especially how we support our children and youth. Anything they publish about trans folx is, at this point, extremely suspect. Please be careful of what you read there.
- The Log Cabin Republicans, an LGBTQA+/SGL Republican group, although there probably aren't many people in it who identify as queer. They do do some work within the Republican party to reduce stigma and prejudice. But they also function as apologists for Republicans within queer and trans communities. For instance, in June of 2023, they included this statement in one of their press releases:
- "Left-wing gays have tried to hijack the equality movement by pushing their radical sex and gender policies on children while slandering anyone who disagrees with them."
