There used to be another article online, "I Need An Accomplice, Not An Ally," by Jon Paul, which i can no longer find. Among many salient and trenchant points that author made:

• "Ally" is a verb.
• Are you feeling or are you doing? Allies will focus more on feeling, while accomplices will focus more on doing.
