Be aware of the things you might assume.
- Don't assume that queer women only have sex with other women.
- Don't assume that your patient who's having sex with a woman is having sex with someone with a uterus.
- Don't assume that your patient who's having sex with a man is having sex with someone with a penis.
- Don't assume that your bisexual or pansexual patients are having sex with everyone they can possibly get their hands on.
- Don't assume that your patients are monogamous.
- Don't assume that your queer patients are cisgender.
