If we're just starting to figure things out, we deserve as much affirmation as kids who are sure of their identities.
You'll do more harm to us if you insist it's just a phase. But even if it is a phase, you should still respect it.
If we change our labels or how we present ourselves, we still need your respect.
You can help us come into our identities by being supportive and open-minded.
Just because I'm confused doesn't mean my identity is invalid.
