First, you'll find some background on queer and trans youth and suicide on this R2T2 page on important topics for queer and trans youth books and movies and the one on young people feeling suicidal.
Suicide and other crisis resources are linked at the top-left of R2T2's window, as well as on this particular page. If you're accessing R2T2 via mobile device, you'll find the crisis response button at the top of your screen.
The easiest approach to sharing the suicide and crisis page would be to use this short URL, bit.ly/r2t2crisisresources, or to post the QR code below. Both of those options carry the benefit of linking people to the full range of crisis resources, not just one.

- In hallways
- In the cafeteria
- On bulletin boards
- On doorways into classrooms, auditoriums, or school buildings
- By bathroom or locker room mirrors
- In bathroom stalls
- In the gym
- In arts spaces (art classrooms, back stage in the theater, in the band or chorus room, and suchlike)
- On the door of the school counselor's office
- In any grade-specific rooms (e.g., a senior lounge)
- In elevators and stairways
- In school newspapers
- In Google classroom or other online class spaces
- Any other places i'm not thinking of
This gives students options for gathering information that they may want to follow up on later in private.

- Trevor Project
- Trans Lifeline
- LGBT National Help Center, including a specific youth talk line, coming out support hotline, and weekly youth chatrooms. All are prominently linked on the organization's homepage.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Hotline
- They can provide support over the phone and will connect you with local resources.
- 988's website has two directly relevant subsections:
- 988 for LGBTQI+ people
- 988 for Youth
- Other relevant subsections are for folx who are neurodivergent, Deaf, Native, Black, and suicide attempt survivors. There's also help available in Spanish.
- The Network/La Red (a survivor-led organizing to end partner abuse)
- love is respect (a queer- and trans-inclusive place for young people experiencing dating violence, as well as their friends, parents, and teachers)
